Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actress and musician most well known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam films. She first made an appearance as an actor in Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian background. She was born to an attorney from the Madras High Court attorney. Her older sister is who is a resident of Leuven Belgium, as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started the classical piano at eight years old, was called a "geek" and aspired to become a psychiatrist until her 12th grade board exam. In her twenties, she became in a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first performing and music composition career. She worked as a stage artist at her college and was a part of in several plays produced through The Madras Players, EVAM as well as other theatre companies. She was President of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's acting career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She starred with Shiva as a leo advertisement for coffee in the year 2006. She also acted in a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. She's performed in India. She was in a small role during the climax in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon performed in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. She was asked to have her play in the role of a female lead on Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed, with Andrea portraying Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, her husband who is caught in a sexual affair and gets threatened with blackmail. Andrea got the part of Kalyani after Simran Shobana, Tabu and other actors were approached. The film was first released in 2010. She agreed in 2011 to perform a tiny support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha, which released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum by Rajeev Ravi, the romantic comedy film she made her debut in Malayalam with was released on August 11, 2013.
