Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She was a headgirl at Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A-levels. In response to questions about her Emmerdale character she stated that it is regrettable not to have had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman was part of a group known as In Yer Space at her school. They presented Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. She won an award for her performance while the play was also well-received. Coleman, who was looking to audition for drama college in 2005, landed Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman received two nominations in the year 2007. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, at the British Soap Awards she was nominated for categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat chose her due to the ease with which she worked together with Smith and also because she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field since 1987, and has been part of various TV shows and films. She has however been more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva played many characters on TV, however two stand out: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas' in CSI Miami. The role of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children garnered her the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This gave her an opportunity to display her talent in music. Eva isn't just an actor, but an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
